Tours
Tour groups are always welcome—just call the museum to set up a time and date. After-hours tours are also available by arrangement.
Programs for Your Groups
We are available for programs here at the museum or at your site. Some of our popular children's activities are our Family Scavenger Hunts (with prizes!), our Safe-Cracking at the Museum game, and our make-your-own-adobe-brick project. Just give us a call!
Special Needs and Accessibility
We are committed to serving ALL of our visitors. We have a video tour of the entire museum main house for visitors to view in a fully accessible area of the Art Annex gallery.
We have a scrapbook tour available for visitors who are unable to access the upstairs area of the museum house.
We also have special tours for visitors that are visually, hearing, mobility, or developmentally-challenged—available by special appointment or for walk-ins (as staffing allows).
Off-Site Exhibits
If you have an upcoming event and would like for the museum to provide a display, please give us plenty of time to prepare! We may want to view your site, assess any security issues, and will need some time to build and install it as well.
Research and Photographs
We get a lot of research requests—all are answered on a first-come, first-served basis, so please be patient! Research appointments are required for visitors that have in-depth research needs. For copies of our photographs, please refer to our FAQs for more detailed information. Requests to view archival items and artifacts must be for research purposes.
Appraisals
It is against the code of ethics of the American Alliance of Museums for any museum to provide appraisals for any objects. For an informal value "guesstimate" we suggest that you look at antique stores for comparable items, look online at auction or sales sites, or contact an antiques auctioneer. For a formal appraisal you will need to contact a licensed appraiser.
