Helpful Reminders for your construction project from Permitting & Code Enforcement:  

·    Post your permit in plain view on your jobsite

·      Call to schedule inspections early  

1) Foundation inspection                    7) Lath inspection
2) Rebar for grounding                       8) Insulation
3) Slab                                                 9) Drywall nailing
4) Frame inspection                          10) Permanent Certificate of Occupancy
5) Partial Roof                                   11) Final Closeout
6) Moisture barrier                             

You also need to know your responsibilities from a Code Enforcement standpoint:

·        We recommend clearing only the footprint of your building to help keep dirt and weeds under control as much as possible

·        You ARE responsible for keeping any weeds or overgrowth in the yard areas cleared

·        Be a good neighbor — employ good dust control practice

·        Comply with the numbering requirements, making sure a visible number is posted on the front of the building and on the fence in the alleyway

·        Good housekeeping on a daily basis — make sure your arrangements for debris disposal are in compliance with the Transfer Station policy
