There is position available for: Lifeguard
PAY SCALE: T1 $6.50 per
hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess all of the skills
and abilities listed under this section on the job description to be considered
for this position.

Must be 15 years old or older on or before May 31st
2007.

Applicants who are 16 years old or older on or before
May 31st 2007 preferred.
-
Applicants with prior related experience preferred.

Must be a possess a current
Life Guard Certificate
-
Must be certified in CPR &
First -Aid
-
Must be a Certified Water
Safety Instructor
-
Must be able to pass a rigid
background investigation including work history, criminal records, driving
records and other records deemed necessary.

Must submit the
“Pre-Employment Release and Waiver” form with the application.
DUTIES:

Monitor the safety of public swimmers.

Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas.
Instruct, & teach children of all ages.

Performs related work as required.

Performs other work as assigned.

Possessing some or all of the skills and abilities listed in this section will
make a candidate more competitive.

Ability to control and
discipline the behavior of children of all age groups.

Ability to establish and
maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the
general public.

Knowledge of lifesaving
techniques.

Knowledge of first aid and CPR

Ability to work on a varied schedule to
include evening, weekends, and some holidays.
